William Marr
Bill is the Founder and Managing Partner of Granite Street Capital, a firm he built to develop and execute alternative investment growth strategies. For his advisory clients, Bill sources managers from his extensive peer groups, leads due diligence, and remains active throughout the investment or acquisition and integration process. Within the consulting arm of Granite Street Capital, Bill guides his asset management clients to develop and execute the optimal alternative investment strategy with a focus on product, distribution, and team development.

As a pioneer in liquid alternative investments, Bill brings extensive experience as a thought leader who has published extensively in academic journals and been a visible leader in the industry. In developing differentiated product and distribution strategies and anticipating industry trends, he relies heavily on proprietary analytics systems developed within his teams over the past five years. With extensive experience working internationally, Bill allocates much of his time working with European and Asian investment managers seeking to scale their businesses in the US, either organically or by finding the right partner.

Carolyne Rumah
Carolyne Rumah is an Associate at Granite Street Capital. She has worked in the financial investments industry for 10 years. After graduating college, she began her financial career when she joined a team of consultants at Lazard Frères & Co to work on an independent project for the SEC. Previously, she worked in a supportive role with the investments team at MoMa, Cowen & Company’s investment bank and Ramius’s alternative investments platform. Her last position was the Business Development Associate for the UK Hedge Fund Cheyne Capital, where she assisted with setting up and launching their new headquarters in New York. She has a BA in International Relations and Global Affairs from Eckerd College.
